When talking about
Guatemala has a destination it seems that nobody have an idea either where it is or why anybody would like to retire in this country. But since now 4 years more and more people are discovering this country and realising that it has all the potential of being a great destination for retirement or investment.
In January 2014 , Armand Boissy from
Atitlan Solutions was invited to participate to the
International Real Estate Listing Podcasts with Taylor White and in August 2014 to
the Central America Real Estate Show podcats of Viva tropical both shows are dedicated to the ones interested in living or/an investing outside the United States.

Then in December 2014 Armand Boissy participated in the program
House Hunter International. So with all the publicity where Guatemala stands in the International Living Annual Global Retirement Index...?
Well in 2013, Guatemala didn't make it to the to
Anual Global Retirement Index from International Living. But now beginning 2015 and the release of the IL's Anual Global Retirement Index for the first time Guatemala enter the list of
top retirement destinations for 2014.
Interesting to note that the two top destinations are Panama and Ecuador alternatively first and second. Surprising drop for Mexico which pass from third destination in 2013 is now seventh in 2014.
So a good news for Guatemala as it is the strongest economy in Central America put so little appreciated.
A good sign showing strong improvements in economics and infrastructures. Scoring a 100 with Cambodia for Cost of Living. Definitively a strong new comer for
retirement destinations.
